When are the best air fryer sales during the year?
Updated : · 5 min read
The best air fryer sales during the year usually come around Black Friday, from mid-November to Cyber Monday (30 November 2026), when small kitchen appliances get the most offers. The next best windows are the January sales (and Boxing Day in the UK), Amazon Prime Day in summer and Singles Day on 11 November. Because air fryers are so competitive, price drops are frequent, but so are fake discounts: always compare with the model's usual price.
When are the best air fryer sales during the year?
This calendar reflects typical patterns in France and much of Europe. It's qualitative: a given model can drop outside these periods, and some event "deals" simply match its usual price.
| Period | Rating | Why |
|---|---|---|
| January – early February | Good | Winter sales (6 January to 2 February 2027 in most of France; Boxing Day and January sales in the UK): leftover holiday stock and end-of-line models. |
| February – April | Average | Quiet period, new models arriving. |
| May – June | Good | Spring French Days in France, Father's Day, Amazon Prime Day (23 to 26 June in 2026 in France; dates can vary by country), start of the summer sales. |
| July – August | Average | Summer sales, then a quiet summer. |
| September – October | Average | Back-to-school deals, autumn French Days, Amazon's October Prime deals in recent years. Ideal for noting prices. |
| November | Very good | Singles Day (11 November), Black Friday (27 November 2026) and Cyber Monday. |
| December | Average to poor | Gift-driven demand: prices often rise again after Cyber Monday. |

Black Friday, Singles Day or Prime Day: which is best for an air fryer?
No event is always the best for a given model. Each works differently:
- Black Friday and Cyber Monday: the largest number of retailers and models on offer, with deals often spread over several days.
- Singles Day (11 November): big on some marketplaces and with some brands, sometimes with offers close to Black Friday's.
- Prime Day: for Prime members on Amazon, worth it if the model you want is featured. See our Prime Day 2026 guide.
- Seasonal sales: markdowns on end-of-line models and less popular colours.
If you're in no rush, the safest approach is to shortlist your model in October and compare its price at each event.
Shopping outside France?
The same logic applies in most countries. Black Friday and Cyber Monday are the main events almost everywhere, Prime Day runs in every country where Amazon holds it (dates can differ), and the UK adds Boxing Day and the January sales. What changes is the local calendar of seasonal sales and the rules on reference prices, so check how discounts are regulated where you live.
Last year's model is often the real deal
Air fryer ranges are refreshed often. When a new version arrives, the outgoing model, frequently with the same capacity and a very similar design, is the one being cleared. Compare spec sheets: if only the display or a preset changes, the older model is usually the smarter buy.
Fake air fryer deals to avoid
The category is crowded with brands and third-party sellers. A few traps come up again and again:
- Fantasy "was" prices: a "50% off" based on a price that was never really charged, especially from marketplace sellers.
- Variants: the same model sold in several colours or capacities, each with different prices and discounts.
- Accessory bundles: "free" moulds, racks or recipe books that justify a higher price.
- Pre-event price hikes: a price that climbs in October so it can "drop" in late November.
In France and across the EU, an advertised discount must be based on the lowest price the seller charged in the previous 30 days (in France, article L112-1-1 of the Consumer Code, from the Omnibus directive). To know what to check, read our guide to spotting a fake discount.
Which air fryer should you buy?
Format
- Basket (single drawer): the most common and most affordable format.
- Dual basket: cooks two foods at once, handy for families, but takes up more space.
- Air fryer oven (glass door, racks): more versatile, but bulkier and slower to clean.
- Multi-cooker: some models add grilling, dehydrating or steaming.
Capacity: rough guidance
These ballpark figures are often recommended by retailers; adjust them to how you cook (full meals, bakes, a whole chicken):
| Household | Indicative capacity |
|---|---|
| 1 to 2 people | about 2 to 4 L |
| 3 to 4 people | about 4 to 6 L |
| 5 or more | 6 L and above, or dual basket |
Details that matter day to day
- Dishwasher-safe basket and rack, and the type of basket coating.
- Viewing window and interior light to check food without opening.
- Fan noise, where the spec sheet lists it.
- Worktop footprint and cable length.
- Power suited to the capacity, and an adjustable temperature range.
Air fryer running costs
For small portions, an air fryer heats a smaller space and avoids preheating a full-size oven, which can reduce electricity use. The real saving depends on your current oven, the quantities you cook and cooking times. Budget-wise, there are almost no consumables, but a basket whose coating wears out can shorten the appliance's life: check whether the basket is sold as a spare part.
In the EU, the two-year legal guarantee of conformity applies to any purchase from a business, and online purchases generally come with a 14-day right of withdrawal. Shopping for another kitchen appliance? See when to buy a coffee machine.
Air fryer buying checklist
- Pick the format and capacity that suit your household.
- Check the footprint, cleaning and whether the basket is sold as a spare part.
- Shortlist two or three models, checking colour and capacity variants.
- Note their prices from October so you can compare during November's events.
- Ignore the headline percentage and compare with the usual price.
- Check the actual seller, the warranty and the return terms.
Put it into practice: buy your air fryer at the right price
Between Singles Day, Black Friday and Cyber Monday, checking the price of two or three air fryers every day takes time, and a drop lasting a few hours is easy to miss. UniverTrack watches for you:
- Paste the link of each model you've shortlisted (Amazon, Cdiscount, and other retailer sites on a best-effort basis). The price is checked automatically and a dated history builds up; on Amazon, past history can be shown too.
- Set a target price and check the "good time to buy" indicator to see whether today's price is genuinely good.
- Get an email alert when your target is reached, then buy. See how to set up a price drop alert.
For an air fryer and a few other products, the Découverte plan is enough. If you're also planning holiday gifts across many products and want to catch fake discounts, UniverTrack's Malin plan is a better fit. Compare plans on the pricing page: each starts with a 14-day free trial, with no commitment.

See plansFrequently asked questions
- What is the cheapest month to buy an air fryer?
- November, with Singles Day, Black Friday and Cyber Monday, is usually the most favourable. The January sales and Amazon Prime Day in summer are good alternatives.
- Do air fryers go on sale after Christmas?
- Often, yes: January sales (and Boxing Day in the UK) bring leftover stock and discounted end-of-line models. Choice can be narrower on the most popular models, though.
- Is an air fryer at 50% off a real bargain?
- Not necessarily: the reference price may be inflated, especially from third-party sellers. Compare with the model's usual price over several weeks.
- What size air fryer does a family of four need?
- Retailers often suggest about 4 to 6 litres for 3 to 4 people. A dual-basket model is handy if you often cook two foods at once.
- Should I wait for Black Friday to buy an air fryer?
- If you're in no hurry, yes, it's usually the period with the most offers. Still track your chosen model's price, because a drop can happen at other times too.
