Is Keepa hard to use?

Language is not the obstacle: keepa.com is localised (including French) and supports Amazon.fr among the eleven Amazon stores listed on its homepage, alongside Amazon.com, Amazon.co.uk, Amazon.de, Amazon.it and Amazon.es. The hurdle is the jargon and density: Buy Box, sales rank, third-party offers, Warehouse Deals. Keepa was built for Amazon sellers as much as for buyers, and its charts layer a lot of information. An occasional shopper can easily get lost, especially on a phone.

Why look for a Keepa alternative?

There are only a few legitimate reasons to look elsewhere, but they matter:

• Keepa only tracks Amazon. If the product you want is also sold by another retailer or on a brand's own store, Keepa tells you nothing about those prices.

To be clear: for the single question "what has this Amazon product cost over the past months?", Keepa is the benchmark and it is free. A paid alternative is only justified if it gives you something else.

You compare Amazon with other retailers

This is where Keepa cannot help. UniverTrack tracks the Amazon listing and, for example, the same product at Cdiscount or another online store.
